Tangy Vinegar Coleslaw

I haven't always enjoyed coleslaw, mostly because it is traditionally made with mayo, but also because the texture isn't as crispy as when you use other ingredients.

This simple coleslaw recipe is just what you need to top off a great sandwich or accompany any number of great dishes.

Ingredients

1 medium cone cabbage
2 medium carrots
1/2 tsp celery seeds
1/2 tsp ground mustard powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Steps

Shave/thinly slice the cabbage and place in a medium sized bowl and use a potato peeler to shave the carrots and chop into small pieces.

Mix the celery seeds, ground mustard, salt, pepper with the vinegar and pour over the cabbage and carrots. Stir to coat, let sit for 10 minutes and serve.
