Smooth and Satisfying Hummus
Who knew hummus could be so easy to make on your own! It is cheaper and tastier to make at home and a perfect snack or topping to some salad or toast.
Ingredients
14.5 oz can garbanzo beans
1/4 cup tahini
1 large lemon zested and juiced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1tsp salt
1/2 tsp cumin powder
3 tbsp olive oil
Steps
In a measuring cup, add tahini, lemon juice and zest, mix with a spoon till the mixture is stiff.
Add to a food processor and blend for at least 60 seconds until smooth.
Add rinsed garbanzo beans and garlic, salt, cumin powder and olive oil, blend till smooth (at least another 60 seconds. Add more olive oil if you want the hummus to be slightly lighter.
Serve with pita chips or on a salad.
